There are a few different types of waste traps. The most common are the “S”, “P” and “shower” trap. They all use very similar methods and can be disconnected by removing the large nuts to release the traps.
The trap we will be using is the “S” trap.
1.Place a large bucket underneath the trap to catch any discharge.
2.Unscrew the nuts.

3.Remove the trap and clear the blockage into the bucket.
4. Make sure that the rubber washers are in place and reconnect the trap back into position.
